Activity 3: Miracle on the Hudson

In June 28th 2019 my brother had ear surgery because he had a hole in his ear, he did surgery because had a hole in his ear drum. The nurse and doctor cut his ear open and sealed it. He was not allowed to swim for three months. After one month my brother went back to the Christchurch hospital. The doctor checked it and she said it is good so far but still no swimming. Three months later the doctor looked at it with a Microscopic camera and it looks like the has a tiny tiny hole but he can swim it will be fine.

My brother is so brave and I believe that he will do great when he swims.

  1. Hi Angela,

Oh wow! That sounds so painful :o I bet he was very brave to get that done. Why couldn't he swim for three months after getting his surgery done? Would this have affected his ear?

I'm glad that his ear is OK now, hopefully he will not have any more surgery on it. Scary business!
