DAY 2: TAKING ACTION Activity 1: A Long Walk to Freedom

In the summer learning journey my task is to write a diary entry about how it is like in prison, I need to have at least 4 sentences. 

Dear diary, I am trapped in a prison for 18 years when can I get out.
All I have is a puff bed and a straw that is all I have nothing else.
I wish I had never stolen candy form the store, I tried to give it back. They said I should have not stolen it. My life will be spent in prison for 18 years this is going to be the worst 18 years of my life.

    Good afternoon Angela!

    Great read. It must have been a real challenge for Mr Mandela to live in that prison for so long! what made you think that Mandela stole candy?

    I like how you have really got into Mandela's head I’m sure he was thinking about when he was getting out all the time!

    Next time you could try include some drawings of the prison!
