Activity 2: Discovering Aotearoa

In the summer learning journey my task was called discovering Aotearoa, what I had to do for my task was to make think about my culture. Also write about where my family comes from, and what is special in my culture.

In my culture Diwali is really special Diwali rows of lighted lamps. It is a festival of lights and every Indian celebrates it with joy. During this festival, people light up their houses and shops. They worship Lord Ganesha for good welfare and Goddess Lakshmi for wealth and wisdom.

Krishna is as the eighth avatar of the god Vishnu and also as the supreme god in his own right. He is the god of compassion, tenderness, and love in Hinduism, and is one of the most popular and widely revered among Indian divinities.

  1. Hi Angela

Great to read about your culture! Are you from India?
It's great to see the detail that you have used in your writing, the word avatar is interesting, what does it mean?

It's been really interesting reading about your culture. If you wanted to make your work even more amazing you could put some colour/ pictures in your work!

Looking forward to reading many more blog posts!
