Make Ten Addition Strategy

Kia Ora! 

In Miss McClelland's Maths we have been learning different ways to make Ten. We first learned from getting an example from the teacher. Then me and my group each wrote on a whiteboard different ways to make ten. Then Miss McClelland gave us a math sheet to work on.


I found doing the sheet very easy but at the same time it was also very hard to do.

Reading Bookmarks

For the past 10 weeks of making reading bookmarks I have been making a really simple design and a really ruff design of my bookmark. I found making my bookmark really hard because I am no that good at drawing and I had no idea what sort of design to do. Once I found what design to do I finally started, it did look confusing to do at first but then I finished making it at first. When I finished I heard that you had to do the other side so then I just got annoyed and I just went on and chose another design. Here is my finished bookmark.

Harry Potter Follow Up Activities

In reading we have been reading harry potter and the philosophers stone, While we read it we always do a kahoot and a comprehension. So we can preview what happened in the chapter. When reading this book it was really fun and interesting to listen and find out the myseries.  Once we finsished reading harry potter, we started to do follow up activities. After a couple of days of doing my follow up activities, I finally!

Elapsed Time

In Maths we have been learning elapsed times it is Elapsed time is when we look at the difference between two times. I found doing this activity very confusing and new to my learning but I like to challenge myself. We also had to make a copy of a presentation and do talk 6 slide 8. After that I did a quiz. In reading Miss McLeod was reading to us a really harry potter and the philosophers stone chapter 15, while she was reading it I was so excited to listen to it because I am so obsessed with harry potter I think it is very mysterious magical and interesting. Measuring Time- Calendars

in math I have been learning how to tell the time and also read calendars, the first thing we did as together as a group we went through what the meanings of a calendar is and how many months are in a year how many weeks are in a year and how many days are in a year. we talked about how 2020 was a leap year. but this task is measuring time calendars, when I found doing this activity I found it really easy because I know how to read calendars and I've always know how to read calendars. I found doing this really simple and easy but some more challenging. I didn't understand task 4. But here is my presentation.

Quality blog posts

In writing I have been looking at blog to find quality blog posts, there is a success criteria Miss McLeod made on a google presentation. On the presentations there are blog posts that we look at and we need to see if they are part of the success criteria. on the last light of the presentation I had to find any blog from our cluster that we could add. I found a really nice blog so I added it to the slide, the blog I found is really nice.  Ruby's blog.


In the success criteria there are texts that we have to highlight a certain color here are the meanings to the colors: Red: This blog is missing this element Green: the elements of a quality blog post you can locate in the post Yellow: Almost there

Reading Calenders

Today in Math I started to learn how to tell the time, first we looked at a video, after that we looked at the things a calendar has. Then we shared our birthdays with what day if are on. Then there were questions about calender's that we had to answer and we answered them together. Our follow up activity is to fill in the missing dates on October in blue. On the calendar there are questions we need to do. I highlighted the words under the calendar so I knew which one I was up to. Here is the calendar.
