Today in inquiry, me and my friend Kaela made a stem project where we have to build a tower made out of newspaper and masking tape.

We got to choose out of parachute,tower,vehicles,Bridge  we choose... tower we thought this was easy but it was a little hard.

But we still tried our best and Kaela had the best ideas sketched on her book. We had to try and build a tower using newspaper and masking tape we had to try and carry.

A basket ball for at least 20 seconds but we did not make it on time so I can't show you what i have made. But I can show you a picture of  what I am going to make.

Today in Math I had to do my brain teaser.  miss Goslin gave us  five numbers to choose the numbers were 54 ,72 24 ,111 and I chose 24. And whatever was your number you had add up how much will make that number for example I choose 24 so I had to  make math questions to add up to that number here is mine.

10+10+4=24
20+4=24
19+5=24
18+6=24
22+2=24

Six sentence story

This week in writing we wrote a six sentence story about creating a character and adding detail.
Our focus was on creating sentence. We had to make up a story about and  HERE IS MY WORK

There once was a girl that is very talented her name is Jessica

Jessica’s talents are Netball,football,swimming,skating,bowling,basketball.

But one day there was a problem... she missed her Practice!!!!

And she got kicked out of all her sports and her big talent’s But when she went back.
The coach said “ we now have a better player so we don’t need you anymore”.

And when she heard that she was... alright  because she had to much talent’s.

That she wanted to quiet but not let the world down so now she is retired now and she
will not be the world’s best anymore she will be the world’s first.

Now she is just sitting on the couch of a sport named hockey and she’s a teacher.

How to make crunchy slime

You will need:

Activator  

A bowl for a base

Beads so it’s crunchy  

Glue clear/white/glitter

   

Place your bowl on a table and pour your glue in the bowl so it's a good base.

Then add your Activator but don’t add too much or else It will be kind of like a
rubber Texture.

When you add it you must not add more than one tablespoon of Activator.

Than you can add the beads and if you want you can add coloring.

How slime works

How slime works You will need Glue Borax Glitter Water  A slime that's had too much liquid starch added will be stringy, but NOT sticky. It won't stick to your fingers  it will slide right off. ... Once the slime starts holding together, you will need to knead it by hand. After adding glue and kneading for 2-3 minutes, it will be just like new! The Chemical that clumps it together is called sodium. So that is how to make slime!!!!!    How much borax do you add to the glue? Mix 1 teaspoon of borax in 1 cup of water. Stir until the borax is dissolved.  Do you need glitter? No, only if you want it can be any color.
   

Straw rafts

In inquiry we are learning about the design process.

The design process is where you plan,design and test a product or theory. Sometimes when you test it, it doesn't work and you have to start at the beginning again to see how you would make it better.

Mrs M'G gave us a challenge. We had to plan,design+build a straw raft to float 40g of weight on it. We could only use straw and masking tape. Or if we failed a once we would have to go back and test it again so we could make it better, and make it better. Something that was challenging was fixing it and making it better.
